Check for Cheaper Flights post Coronavirus Outbreak

You might consider re-booking flights in the wake of the novel coronavirus. Re-booking might ease your anxiety but it can also help in saving some precious cash.

At the moment, airlines across the world are dealing with many cancelled flights. With the lowering demand, airfare is also declining.

Reddit user learningcomputer posted recently that they were able to re-book a flight purchased previously and save $150 in the process. Most of the airlines are offering waiver on change of airfare.

While most airlines may waive fees, it will likely only be once per ticket (due to coronavirus). If the situation escalates and you aren’t interested in catching your flight, you might not be able to get a refund or change the second ticket.

The same applies to bookings a few weeks in advance. Currently no one knows what the future with coronavirus looks like, so you could be setting yourself up to fail.

However, it’s worth taking a look at any flights you plan to take a few days before departure to see any price cuts. If your flight is less than what you originally paid for, you can try to re-book.
