It is said that hundreds of years ago, the intestinal “transit time” was much shorter than it is now, which is the interval from the time the food entered the mouth until it was excreted as feces. Carbohydrate Intolerance: Starches, which are a form of carbohydrates, also cause intestinal problems. When carbohydrates in the small intestine are not digested properly, this attracts the bacteria from the large intestine and they take over the small intestine and multiply quickly. This bacteria destroys enzymes in the small intestine and reduces the body’s abilities to digest food and absorb carbohydrates.

This was informative. It makes a lot of sense too. You have said that colon cleansing is good for the system but not mentioned what kind of cleansers is good. I have heard that herbal cleansers should be used rather than laxatives which can deplete the system of necessary salts and cause dehydration. Moreover, it works drastically on the system and you need to be close to a bathroom when you use it. I know that aloe is a natural laxative. It works naturally with your system and is gentle.
Unfortunately most of this article is untrue. The plaque you mention does not exist, according to a colonic surgeon. He said that although he had looked up and down the length of the colon he had never found any plaque. Nor had he found it during surgery on diseased colons. Your article would not be acceptable to Wikipedia because you have no references and no citations. Bile is meant to be acid. Acidity in digestion is caused by eating proteins and starches together which doubles acid secretion. It is not the starch or sugar that causes acidity.
