Over 100 MILLION people are already sharing their photos using the smart phone app Instagram – and that is expected to grow even faster than the current estimated 10 million downloads per day.
Facebook acquired them and Instagram just announced every user will have an Instagram Web Profile Page created for them. All the photos they have shared will be pulled into a Web page they can share with others.
Murray Newlands explained these new pages in this short Future of Engagement video:
Video Highlights:
- Instagram has 100 MILLION users already and this will increase growth
- New Web profile pages are similar to Facebook pages
- Be sure to add a link to your Instagram page from your site and social media profiles
People love photos – and sharing their photos. Anyone who has an iPhone or Android is likely to start using Instagram and those who do not have a smart phone themselves can see their photos IF they have their profile set to public. Only people you allow to follow you can see photos set to private.
If you have a business you can use Instagram to keep in touch with existing customers and reach new buyers. You must have an iPhone or Android phone with the Instagram App installed in order to create an account or share images there.
