Streaming Xbox One to Android Phones or Tablets

Yes, you heard it right! Xbox One owners can now stream games from their consoles onto Android phones including tablets. Players using PCs and PlayStations already have streaming options available to them.

Support for Android phones is part of Microsoft’s cloud-streaming agenda for the next-gen consoles, though it’s still in a final testing phase. You’re likely to experience interrupted streaming and more latency than expected.

Keeping these issues aside and to start testing yourself, make sure you meet the following pre-requisites:

• A Microsoft account with an active Xbox Live subscription that is enrolled in the Xbox Insider programme

• An Android phone or tablet with minimum Android 6.0 and Bluetooth 4.0
• Bluetooth-enabled wireless Xbox One Controller for pairing with phone/tablet
• Set Xbox One power settings to Instant-on
• Decent home wifi with at least 4.75 Mbps upstread bandwidth and 125 ms or less network latency
